In the evening I went to visit another cousin, his wife and two kids :) We had not seen each other for a while so it was really great seeing them again! :)

Kenpou OB party

Like the previous morning I had to rush this morning too. After an early breakfast I left for my dormitory. I then got ready for practice :) Then in the evening there was a kenpou OB (old boys) "party", where everyone had to give a short presentation about themselves. That was so so fun, however the food was rather good ;P A couple of us then continued to a nijinokai where we had some more food and drinks. It was fun :)

Seeing relatives

After having had breakfast with my friend and her mother it was time for me to continue to my aunt's. When arriving there we (my aunt, her husband, one of my cousins and her daughter) went to Yokohama by car to visit my grandmother. It is always great seeing her :) After having lunch together and talking it was time for us to head back again. This night I spent at my aunt's. It is always nice to see your relatives :)

One of my kenpou friends invited me over to spend the night at her family's place. The house is not typically Japanese since it is an imported "Sweden house". We had fun together hanging out, we even played badminton :) I even met her mother who is very nice.

My friend is having her birthday this week so we decided to go to Disney Sea to celebrate in advance. Due to the measles other schools are being closed as well which you could tell rather easily. In other words, we were by no means alone at the amusement park. Even though it was crowded we had a great day together! Arriving early in the morning we basically tried every attraction :) Disneyland is more cute than Disney Sea. The latter one has more rides that can be appreciated even if you are a bit older. When we were not trying a new ride we enjoyed the great scenery while having delicious food. I also tried chocolate and strawberry flavoured popcorn. They were both great :) We had a lot of fun today!

Lunch at Shibuya

Since I had the day off I decided to have lunch with a friend at Shibuya. We have not seen eachother for a while so it was nice seeing him again. On the menu was soba and a side dish consisting of maguro don. It was delicious!

The measles

Yesterday during my afternoon class a woman came and told us that Waseda has problems with the measles so the school will be closed from 070522-070529!! Waseda is not the only school with this problem, other universities are being closed as well.

I went to Shinjuku with one of my kenpou friends. After shopping shoes we decided to go to Krispy Kreme to buy some doughnuts. The place opened last year so it is still very popular. In fact, we had to stand in line for over an hour!! But while we were waiting we all got one free doughnut :) I ended up buying six and they were very tasty haha

Two of my friends and I went to see sumo at Ryougoku. I have seen sumo on TV a number of times but since I am in Japan I thought it would be really cool to see it live! The place was bigger than I had anticipated and though our seats were pretty much in the back we still had a rather good view :) The atmosphere was nice and the sumo performers really did their best. We had a great time and I am happy we went :)

Shinnyo

My Japanese friend invited me to go with her to the tempel Shinnyo where Shinnyo En is being performed. Shinnyo En is a form of buddhism founded by Shinjo Ito in the 1930's. This practice is not solely for monks but is open to everyone who wish to practice it. I am not a religious person so I have to admit that it felt a bit akward for me seeing all these people in belief, reading from "holy texts" in unison etc. It was definitely a new experience.

Clubbing

One of my Swedish friends arranged a tabehoudai and nomihoudai gathering today. It was held at "Watami" in Shibuya. During the day I had been working out so I was rather hungry. The food and the drinks were great, as was the company:) After the 2 hour time limit we went clubbing at "Club Atom" in Shibuya. It was my first time to go clubbing in Japan, and it was great fun :) In this club there are different floors with different types of music so we could all find our favorite type of music. At about 3 in the morning we decided to go home. Having drinking and partying I think it was a good idea to turn back considering the fact that I have a 3 hour practice tomorrow as well :) Great day today!

Today I met a friend of my mother's. Along with the friend was her whole family. We went to have Chinese food for dinner at a very nice restaurant. We had a nice time together.

This week is a holiday that is called "Golden Week". We only have to go to school on Tuesday and Wednesday :) Since I love rollercoasters and can not get enough of them I went to Tokyo City Dome with my Japanese friend. It was rather crowded but we still got to ride a lot of fun rollercoasters. The most fun among them is definitely "Thunder Dolphin", however the rollercoasters at Fujikyuu are more scary. Still we had a great time :) I also had the opportunity to try a bit climbing. It was great fun :)

Movie Night

Tonight my friends and I went to a ramen place to have dinner together. Ramen is not my favorite dish...but it was alright. Afterwards we rented a movie. Since the four of us wanted to settle for a movie that none of us had seen before we had quite a tough time in the dvd rental store. At last we chose the comedy "Click" with Adam Sandler. Well, it is not really a very good movie but we still had a great time together :)
